Staff Council Memebrs

The staff council in Santhigiri College is an advisory body to help the Principal in academic matters and the maintenance of discipline. Some of the general administrative work of the College may be distributed by the Principal among the members of the Council or other staff.

The major objectives/functionalities of the staff council are,

• To provide ideas for the overall progress of the College.
• To discuss and advise the principal on taking disciplinary action.
• To facilitate communication among the staff and College Management.
• To assess academic work periodically.
• To collect and disseminate information related to staff matters.
• To collect and disseminate information related to staff matters.
• To participate, assist and advise in the decision-making processes for safeguarding the interest of staff.
• To nominate staff representatives as members of various committees of the College.
• To recommend new policies or changes in the existing policies pertaining to staff.
• To promote and advocate professionalism and support opportunities for the staff.
• To make the working environment of the College enjoyable and enriching for all.

Student Council

The Students’ Council is the Student Government body of the College. The Council currently consists of fifty-four elected representatives of the student’s community and two Faculty Coordinators. It comprises the Chairman, Chairperson, Arts Club Secretary and the Magazine Editor. All activities and Associations within the campus, work under the formal auspices of the Student Council.
